6 disc changer

Hey guys, i have a 91 FireBird.
I just got a Pionneer 6 CD Changer.
This might sound dumb but, were do u guys usually mount ur changers?

I want access to it from the drivers seat. I tried under the seat but i think its too tall.

Any other suggestions?

This takes a little work, but on one of my T/A's I flush mounted the changer on the passender side dash, still within reach. You have to either re-route the air vent that goes to that side or just block it off. I also had to move the computer down just a little bit.It looks nice and is easliy accessible.Since it was flush with the face of the dash,I had the map pocket, put velcro on the back so that I could place over the changer so people couldn't see it when parked somewhere.Or,if it's small enough, you can mount it vertically in the glove box.

Hey thanks, RSpeed, anyone else have anyother suggestions?

U have a good idea there but, i dont want it to be too permanent.I also thought of cutting the plastic thats above passenger feet, and mount it flushly parallel with the glove flap thing , but dont want to do that cause i dont know where i can get a replacement of this plastic. Anyone know were i can get a replacement piece like this?

thanks

Like RSpeed said, I think putting (if it fits) in the glove box would be cool. I have never heard anyone every doing something like that, at least it would be unique!

I think somebody on this board put it under the passenger seat.

I have a 12 disc changer in the back "glove box" and I like it there, I can put 1 cd in the head unit and when I get out of the car I can switch disc trays and put another 12 in.. It was a little tricky to get it to fit just right, because it's almost the exact same size.. The plastic closes over it so its hidden and everybody is really surprised when I tell them I have a changer...
