why would you want quite so many subs? for the money you pay to cover 4 perfects, you could get two digital design subs that will pound much harder. dont mean to sound brand biased, but for the same money, you could save space (which is limited enough already in our cars), hit harder, and possibly even have some left over to use on an amp. BTW, i own alpine subs myself, just so it doesnt sound like i'm promoting DD.

I agree completly. I don't see the need for that many subs. As far as sub preferances, My favorites are JL, Eclipse, DD, & Memphis. How much do you plan on spending? That will utimatly determine what is best for you.

That's ok. I'm shooting for loudest Z28 with stock, unmodified t-top storage . 146.5 now, shooting for 149ish this summer !

i actually heard somewhere (rumor maybe...) that the z28 pictured with the 20 subs isnt really the loud. many of you might disagree becuase hehas so many, but the amount of subs means nothing without a good install and good power. while it may look cool to have a wall of subs, he could have done better with just a couple of higher-end subs. just my $0.02

(If you all couldnt tell by now, I'm a SQ guy, not an SPL )

It must have been a rumor that you heard. FYI.....That car is totally Orion. Sponsored, modified, tuned, tweaked, feed, spanked, and put to bed all by Orion. It's just they don't actually own the car. It's owned by a dude that Orion sponsors.

I'm sure that the claim of "loudest" is true. Would Orion lie about that? I could see RockWood or RoadGear stretching the truth a little. But Orion?

I'm sure he has the right amount of space for those subs as they're all 10's. And as for power he has 5 Orion XTR 2250's and 2 XTR 275s which is a RMS wattage of 5400. And that's true power running 4ohms on all the amps.

ok, ok, i guess i was wrong. it does happen every now and then... but anyway, that kinda thing doesnt really do anything for me. i want to be able to drive my car and listen to the stereo without having to wear ear plugs. but hey, its not my car, so what does it matter?

They've been able to hit 140+DB's with 2-12" L7's. Save the money and buy good subs.

Sorry to be a bit brand biased, but in my opinion 2 Cerwin Vega Strokers would have hit much harder than that big wall of 10's.Even though Vega's are pricey, they pound and pound to the point you purposely try to push them to their limits and explode. If you pay attention to Iasca,Db drag and such Vega's are up there either 1st 2nd or 3rd.But you need great amount of power to move those voice coils Ill tell you that much.Afetr winter Im having 2 vega series 12's put in my T/A with a custom mad fibreglass box and Im building kickers aswell and plans for dvd and seperate tv installed.Im going for a clean smooth look nothing flashy with all sorts of lights around my feet lol.Id choose a Vega anyday as long as I got an amp worthy to push it to my high demands

Dont know if the site is still up but this is where I used to work and close friends with the shop owner.
