Alpine Type R's
Alpine Type R's
I read an article about the Alpine 1240D type R it said the sound was great. I am thinking about getting a set but have also thought about some others such as the 1240D type S as well as JLW6. Anyone had much experience with any of these. I plan on running a pair of them and there are no businesses that have any of these in my area that have a show room floor to hear the differences. I want a clear sound not just hard hitting. Sorry so long just wanted to touch all bases.

We put four 12" Alpine type S in my brother's 89.They sound awesome. We are in the middle of constucting a fiberglass enclosure for six of them.I like em.
In Alpines line are the S or R subs the better of the two according to salesmen? (There are no shops for Alpine within a 50 mile range of me). Do you know a web page or somewhere you can order them from? Thanks
the type R is the better. Check them out a www.alpine1.com

Last i heard, Alpine wont allow there stuff to be mail order items. Many mail order places do carry them, but they wont honor the warranty since they are not factory authorized.
