Crown 56003151 Antenna - looks like a solution for inop power antennas
Found this digging around this board and a few others.
Any reason it wouldn't work on an '87?
Wondering 'coz there is another site that is supposed to be the antenna doctor or something like that - the only replacements they list are for '88-up.
I know the connector to the back of the radio changed about this time - that wouldn't affect this, would it? It's just a 3-wire connection and the coax.

I just ordered and installed this antenna. I used my old coax and just spliced the wiring in. It took about an hour and it fits and works great.

I bought 2 of these a few years ago and posted over at turbotransam. the tip is a little bigger and yes you can do splicing.
I think they fit the Cheap Bland Sharakee models also.
