Ok, I just bought a Kenwood KAC-648S 4-Channel amp. I have installed stereos before, but I am new to the whole sound system thing. My question is, what the heck do I need to install this thing? The instructions it came with aren't that great, and I'm not about to go and spend a ton of money at Circuit City and have them do it. ANY help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

well you'll need an amp installaion kit if you don't have one already. In this should be 4 gauge (8 minimum) power and ground wire. A remote turn on lead. (Usually 18 gauge or so). Some Patch cord for sending the music. You will need a pair of these if you plan to use your fader with the 4 channel amp. Also you will need 12 gauge speaker wire. Get enough, better be safe than sorry. Then run your wires and hook it up and start thumping

any more questions, just ask!

i agree with everyone else. i always wire a fuse next to the battery(should be in any kit, or buy it separately) and i put a fuse(distribution) in front of the amp. this will also help later if you want to install additional amps and it can convert 4 gauge to 8 guage( i don't know what your amp accepts).

whatever works for you.
