T.V. station feature on stereo
T.V. station feature on stereo
Once i used one of the portable "walkman" radios and it had a feature by which you could listen to a t.v. channel in addition to the radio stations, I asked a guy at Crutchfield and he said they exist for cars and that I just have to look elsewhere because they did not carry them. I dont want a whole screen in the car, just want to be able to listen to ball games and stuff. Do you guys know which brands have this feature or if you guys could direct me to a site that sells them I would greatly appreciate it, I plan to do my first install when I buy it. Thanks guys

I believe some of the Blaupunkt CD players have a tuner that can go to the higher frequencies of the TV stations. I believe the TV stations operate somehwhere in the 60-80 MHZ range so you would need a tuner that can tune to those freqencies.

Actually, TV broadcast frequencies encompass a wide frequency range, and the FM broadcast band is actually nessled between the TV channel 5 and channel 6 frequencies. On the old fashioned style analog tuners, if you go all the way down to the bottom you can sometimes pick up the audio from your local channel 5.

what i did in my old car which had a tape deck was, i took the wires that i had for my portable cd player, the tape with the wire on it that plugs into the cd player, and the power wire that plugs into the lighter. anyway, i took those wires and plug them into my watchman and the sound from the tv came over my car speakers, so my passenger could watch tv as i listened to it. a simple way of doing it.
