My Memphis 6.5's are comming in the second week of January. Looks like I might have to break the penny bank. Looks great, and I love the one piece design, but agree with jobryan......BROWN?

rev 1 - use stock plastic kickpanel and make set from scratch for each customer. Took very long time, fiberglass never made a 100% bond to the plastic of the kick, and the curve near the door was very difficult to wrap in tweed, plus each set included hand made plastic grills.
rev 2 - first design to attatch to stock kickpanel. Mold based. 2 piece design took a while to make, but not as long as rev 1. Still included plastic grills. Man were those grills a pain to make. Easier to tweed, but still kinda tough.
rev 3 - similar to rev 2, but without the recess for a grill, customer must use own grill. Still a 2 piece design that took awhile to build. Still attached to stock kick. Covered in carpet now, much easier to cover then tweed.
rev 4 - a cross between rev 3 and rev 1 . Replaces entire kickpanel. Carpet allows for easier covering of the curve near the door sill. One piece deisgn can now go from raw materials to bare unfinished kickpanel in 3 hours. Still use customers grills.
When you bang out so many of a paticular design of kickpanel, you realize it's flaws and get ideas for newer, better ones. I think rev 3 was the longest I went without changing designs. Hopefully, rev 4 will be around for awhile. The only next logical step would be to make sealed kicks, but the time to make them goes up considerably then, so would the cost.
