i put a Pioneer 6disc in my 84 berlinetta. Yes there is a way to put a changer into that radio.

if i was you, i would keep the radio and just add amps. thats what i did and i like how my systems sounds. I did, however, look into buying a "normal" console, and its the biggest pain in the *** to install. Plus our radio is one of a kind, its rare and expensive too. just replace the 6x9s and 4x6s, add some subs.. and amp everything and you'll be set. its alot easier to install amps than a whole new console thats not even original.

plus when i theif looks in your car lookin for a new head unit, he wont find one cuz he only sees the stock radio. The amps are easily hidable and the subs can go in the rear well.

hope this is anything to ya...

Just out of Cuirosity, how did you put the 6-disc in? I really want to play cd's, but I like my radio the way it is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i didnt put the changer in, Best Buy did. And did a lousy job i might add. The wiring was showing, mounted it bad.. etc etc.

The idiot mounted it against the back of my seat, which is perfectly visible to thiefs.
however they were smart enough to leave me a good extra 10ft of cable which i used to extend the changer into the lockable toolbox thingy in the back (opposite spare tire).

sorry i couldnt help,

kev
