I have a Kenwood radio installed. My power antenna will go up when radio is turned on but will not go down when I remove the face plate. any ideas?

Does the antenna go down when you turn the radio off ?

So if it doesn't go down with the face plate removed, or the radio off with the face plate on, when does it go down? Just with ignition off?

was your antenna working beforehand? did you use the solid blue one or the blue one with the white stripe?

I would check the wiring. it's possible they swapped the remote turn on wire and power antenna. My stereo has 2 blue wires. One for amp and one for the power antenna.
