ok before i start on my "good idea" (from another post)i want to know which of these companys' componet speaker sets (6.5) have the best sound response(i like clean sound with decent bass):
1. Kove
2. Audio Bahn
3. Infinity
4. MTX
P.S. i intend on amping the interiors later.

If you ask 4 people with a good ear, you're still likely to get 4 different suggestions. Everybody has different tastes and different musical interests, so each is going to prefer a different style sound. You gotta just start listening to a lot of speakers and as you do, you'll begin to notice the differences yourself and you'll be able to make a sound judgement. The best is to go to a place with experienced salesmen so they can point out the differences between speakers (i.e. speaker A is more harsh in the upper midrange but has crisper highs than speaker B) and pretty soon you'll be able to distinguish.

I dont know if you have heard of em(or if they are available to you) but audiobahn component sets cant be beat for the money. in case your not familiar with them, audiobahn sponsored daytona spring break nationals last year.
im currently runnin two audiobahn natural sound tens, two audiobahn 4 inch coaxals and two audiobahn 5 1/4 coaxals. all powered off one a4600e audiobahn 4 channel amplifier. i found using all the same brand keeps its simple and clean.

If you plan on spending $300 or more dollars on a component set, you will be impressed with all. There are some brands that really shine for the money though. I used to sell:
MB Quart
Eclipse
Polk
Kicker
Phoenix Gold
Rockford Fosgate
Boston Acustics
MB Quarts are the best but they are also the most expensive. Out of all component sets I have sold and installed. The best bang for the buck I feel is either the Eclipse Reference set or the Boston Acustics Rally series. These sets have awsome midbass and really smooth highs. They are both under $300 bucks. I felt they were pretty close to as good as $700 and $800 MB Quarts.
But!! I also sold high quality amplifiers and head units along with them too. Location has a lot to do with them too. With a little care you have amazing results.
