Rear Storage Compartment
Rear Storage Compartment
Back before the site went down (a while a go), people were talking about putting subs in the area where the rear storage thing is (not the well, the side "glove box") Has anyone done this yet? If so, any pics?

I'm going to be doing that with my 12" solobaric. I'm at school right now (OSU 540 miles away from the car in Princeton NJ) so I can't exactly work on it yet. I did figure the volume and there is definatly enough space. I hope somebody has a picture of a similar install, if not I'll be the first :-)

I did a 10" JL W-0 in this space. I custom built a box (.96 cu-ft) that mounts to that lid that covers the storage dip in the back. It took some careful planning to make it the right volume and mount to the lid w/out hitting the back panel when opening and closing. When the lid is shut all you see is the speaker. It looks like it was factory installed. If I can borrow a digital camera I'll display it, it is real cool.

I'd be very interrested in seeing that enclosure too. I may build one like that for my GTA. Let's see if I can fit a pair of 10s in the car without them being visable
