I was going to buy the DEHP-47DH. But I found that the DEHP-77DH was $20 more. I have to say it a good head unit. Since I have a stiff suspension it hasn't skipped yet. The only two problems that I have are 1. The head unit sticks out a little unlike the factory unit. 2. Lighting of the head unit does not match the car. Besides that its realy cool!

------------------
90 Firebird SSA (Bone stock 3.1)

Everything Below I've added

Engine: Accel Super Coil, 8mm Accel Ignition Wires, 170 Degree Thermostat, NKG Plautum Plugs, K&N Filter, Flowmaster 80

Suspension: Bell Tech Drop Spindles, Edelbrock PanHard Bar, Lakewood Lower Control Arms, Wonderbar IROC-Z, KYB GR2 Struts, KYB Gas-a-Just Shocks, PST Suspension Polygrapite Bushings All Round, 36mm WS6 Front Sway Bar, 24mm WS6 Rear Sway Bar

Brakes: Cross Drilled and sloted Rotors

Appearance: Trans Am Tail Lights, Trans Am Wrap Around Wing, Trans Am 16" Alum rims, Tinted Windows Rear 90% Sides 50%

Interior: GTA power seats, Overhead console, Power windows, Power locks, T-tops, Sun shade, Pioneer P77DH, Uniden radar detector, Intellitronix - Fuel pressure gauge, Transmission temp gauge. (In pods)

I have the 77...got it for like $229 plus shipping from wholesaleconnection.com - check them out. It's a great radio...makes the crap stock speakers sound great. You won't be disappointed. Also, rip the old mounting brackets and stuff off your stock radio - they fit up much better to the hole than the new hardware Pioneer provides.

------------------
'89 RS LO3- 140,000 miles
14x3 K&N Open Element
Ram Heavy Duty clutch
Edelbrock TES (Jet-hot coated)
Catco cat
Edelbrock 3" Cat-back
Pioneer DEH-P77
Dual .50 caliber machine guns just under ground effects

Coming:
KYB shocks
Edelbrock Strut Tower Brace
South Side Machine subframe connectors

When your buddy reaches for a 10-pound sledge and says "I think we're gonna have to modify the floor pan, okay?" the answer is NO.

Do any of you still have the wiring diagrams for your pioneer units? I have one to put in my 82 camaro, but I don't know which wire goes to what! If you have the diagram, could you please post what is what, or email me at vallas5@hotmail.com. Thank you. Sorry, never mind. I found out what I needed to know. Just had to look a little farther back. Thanks anyway.

I have the Pioneer DEH-P45DHR. The Pioneer units in my opinion are the best bang for the buck. They pick up radio stations better than any other deck I have ever seen and the CD player in them is terriffic for being hard to make skip. The newer Pioneers are even better with the EEQ technology. This eleminates the need for so many crossovers making you system tunable from the deck.
