I got a question about amps.

I have the amp wire off the battery right to the amp. When I turn my car off will the amp drain the battery because its a straight connection? Or when its off it breaks the connection?

Where's the Remote wire? Did you hook it to the head unit?

If you did, and the HU is off, then it'll be fine.

You do have a fuse in the power wire from the batt to the amp right?

Yeah, I hope you have a fuse, preferably near the battery.

if the remote wire is attached to the head unit, it wont. the remote wire tells the amp to turn on or off, depending on if the radio is on or off. i agree with the other guys, you better have a fuse on there (preferably within 18" of the battery)
