Power antenae on 87' T/A

The motor on my T/A's power antenae is busted. It is stuck on, even when I shut the car off. This means I have to pull the fuse or it will wear the battery down and I lose a few of my accessories. I took a quick look to see if I could disconnect it somehow or remove it, I had no luck. It can't tell but either the fender or the panel in the wheel well has to be removed in order to access it.

Can you guys tell me how to get to this thing? Is there something I can do in the mean time to stop it without having to pull the fuse every time I shut the car off?

Hey, to get to the antenna you have to take your wheel off, take the black plastic well thing out (4 screws and 10 clips I believe), then if you wanna take it out, u need to take off the gfx and unbolt the fender at the bottom and tilt it to pull the antenna out or you can just cut the wires.

Later,

Dave

Are there any "Powered" antennas that will go INSIDE of the fender for a shaved look but better, or as good reception?

Thnx

I have the same problem w/ mine but i jusy left it up and unplugged it...the plug is behind the plastic piece under the "glovebox" where it had the performance suspension badge. The rest is from memory so dont quote me on this. Remove that and there will be two plugs on the left and i think the top one is the one you want. Just havve your antenna running and pull each one until you find the right one. I've had mine unpluggged for about a year now....i guess i'm too lazy to replace it.

I guess I could do that. Kinda sucks though, I get free automatic car washes. No more until I get a regular antenae, I guess.
