So, how much hp in your system?

I just learned today that 746 watts= 1 hp. Knowing that, how many horses have you guys added to your cars through your system? I have a 600 watt amp and a 180 watt deck. So I have about 1.05 hp

Put it another way, your amp and deck are maybe 25% efficient and your alternator is say 50% efficient, so your system is costing you 8 HP.

Okay, I almost replied the other day to this, but I didn't want to be so harsh. I understand the watts to hp thing. But this is rediculous. Maybe if you had a way to harness that wattage, then it would make a difference. But come on, you can't be serious. Maybe that was intended as a joke, I don't know. When you find a way to get that wattage (or hp) to the wheels and then figure out a way to regain the hp lost from running your system, then let me know. Also, I don't know why it would matter because I know noone that would race with their system running or even in their car. Just my opinion. If that was not a serious post, then I'm sorry for being so harsh.
