Pioneer AVH-3500 fitment

I really want this for the IROC but customizing stereo fitment is something I’ve never done. This unit is a single den but every supplier says it won’t fit. Can anyone tell me what might need to be done to make this work?
thanks

I've had a few of these motorized screen head units, but never in a thirdgen.. The screen is most likely going to hit your shifter if you have an automatic. With a manual transmission, you will have to remember to park in 2nd or 4th gear, most likely. It will also completely block your access to your climate controls.
Fwiw, I would just get one of the double din plates, with the climate controls relocated to the bottom. After a while, these things get really shaky, and the noise/vibration can drive you nuts.

My guess is the radio is too deep. It's probably going to require either cutting or unbolting the rear stereo bracket. Have you checked crutchfield.com? They tell you exactly what you have to do to make your radio fit.

Do you have a link to one of these? I've not come across them yet.
