I dont like the loss of leg space. I only want to run 100 watts rms per speaker.

If you don't want to use a regular oval shaped 4x6 then you could get a 4x6 plate which has a round 4" and a tweeter (or you could make some). You might possibly be able to sqweeze a 5.25" in there but you would have to start hacking off pieces of the internal dash to get it to fit. It could be done I guess.

I would recomment kickpanel pods. This is the way to go ... but I also understand your apprehesion. Another alternative, that would be better than dash mount, is door pods. This would retain all the foot space ... but wouldn't really be any easier to accomplish than kicks.

That's MASSIVE overkill dude. No 4x6 on the planet will survive with anywhere near that much power. I'm running mine with a 30 watt amp running 80hz high-pass and even as loud as I can stand it, I'm not using anywhere near the full 30 watts. Bass is what needs power, and 4x6s shouldn't ever get any low frequencies sent to them.

In my IROC I've got a Kicker ZR240 running my 6.5" separates, and that amp is WAAAAAYY more power than they'll ever need. It's rated at 60x2.
