Ok my car is an 85, all original wiring(which is going to bereplaced). I have a pioneer 7200 head unit which I am going to use to just power the front speakers(I am getting kappa components soon). And getting a custom q-logic box for the back, which I hope to put kappa perfects or eclipse **** in. I was just wondering with the compression should I either get 10s or 12s for the box and with them what type of amp to run the subs. I just wanted to ask so i can try and shop around for awhile.

I don't really know what you're asking.

Anyway ... your selection of either 10s or 12s depends on personal preference. The biggest consideration is that any given brand/model of 12s will probably require a larger box internal volume than for the same 10s. 12s will be a tiny bit louder but with 10s you can use a smaller box.

 

bionckr- I have the same setup in my car right now. Infinity Perfect 12s in the q-logic box. I think it sounds great. It has really good sound quality and can also hit really hard. I have 300 rms going to each sub. I think that is a minimum that these subs like. I've heard of guys putting 500 watts to there perfects and everythings fine.
