How to check speaker wiring?
So my passenger side speaker in the dash doesn't work. Is there a way to check it with a multimeter to see if the wiring is bad or the speaker is bad?

You can ohm out each wire from the head unit end to the speak end, but it's most likely the speaker bad and not the wire. If they are factory speakers they are probably disintegrated

Yeah they are factory speakers. I was hoping it was just a wire because I read on this forum a few times that a lot of aftermarket speakers do not fit in the dash. Thanks for letting me know how to check the wires.

Re: How to check speaker wiring?
If you've got to remove the pad you might as well swap speakers from side to side. This will not tell you if the radio is working OK, but if you get sound from the other speaker,... at least you know the speakers are good. No sound means either no output from the radio or possibly a bad wire.
To check the wires: disconnect the speaker on 1 side, disconnect the speaker connector at the radio, then "jump" 12 volts onto the speaker wire at 1 end and use a voltmeter to check the voltage on the other end. Voltage = good wire and bad radio.
