amp options for 2 12s?

so you guys probably hear this all too often. im slowly learning about car stereo stuff but its a litle confusing. my 2 infinity perfect 12s are on their way and i need suggestions on amps. they rate at 1400watts max with 400w rms or so. they are 4ohm stable. how does the bridging and ohm load stuff work? like if you bridge an amp to 2 4ohm speakers it equals 8 ohms or 2 ohms? i guess im looking at a rockford 800a2 or a bd1000a1 but whats the best way to wire in the speakers? one per channel or bridge them some way. im up for any suggestions. thanks

the rest of the system is a kenwood 815 cdplayer, soon to be infinity 6.5components, 6x9s, and an amp i havent decided on yet- maybe a rockford600a4 or 800a4.

dont get the .4's, not enough power will get to your subs...

id use either the 800a2 or the bd1000a1...the 800a2 will powet them nicely, but the bd1000a1 will give them maxed out power...

personally, id go with bd1000a1...i found a place where you can get them for $385 for shipping, brand new right outta the box in factory seals and everything...i got 2 of them...just cant wait to to get them in =)

and they dont have no Z's in the serial either

With 2 subs I would run in stereo. My personal opinion is that it sounds alot better. If you want loud bass and dont care about hearing all levels then run parrallel and mono..

I would suggest an AutoTek amp, Mean Machine Or Stealth Series.

I dont know if you have any experience with the Stealth Line, but the way they are made the installs are soo clean, easy amp rack install.
Probably the cleanest installing amp I have seen.
More then enough power for your perfects.
