Rear Speaker Voltages all Positive

Hi Everyone, name is Bri, been a lurker for a while here and have seen very useful information that normally solves my problems, but for once I'm stumped.
I have a 1986 Camaro sport that I inherited from my father after he passed a way, I've managed to get most engine quirks dialed in (owning multiple G-Bodies has paid off) so I decided to tackle the interior quirks. The original radio isn't in the vehicle, but an AC Delco unit from somewhere in the 90s is installed in it (21 pin connector/ model 16194955), the front speakers work, but the rear speakers do not. When I look at voltages and continuity from the radio to the speakers I learned that the 4 pins on their own for the rear speakers all have positive voltage, about 7 volts for each pin. I looked at a pinout and I know the 4 pins for the rear speakers are supposed to be 2 positive and 2 negative, since the front speakers work, I would assume that the power is wired up correctly but I could be wrong. Could be something in the radio itself having gone wrong, or perhaps my dad did wire something incorrectly, he was a plumber after all, any insight or a direction to go in would be very helpful.

Question is - What ohm rating are the rear speaker supposed to be? are they 4 ohm or 8 ohm? U have discover that from the radio specs. Wrong ohm rating, say running 4 ohm on 8 ohm radio requirement will kill the internal amp (chip). At least that is old school

Re: Rear Speaker Voltages all Positive

Looking at it last night, I took all the wires apart and wired them back up according to the 2 diagrams I had on hand, once all rewired the rears began to work, I didn't 100% pay attention to what wires were connected to what beforehand, but it seems that my dad's wiring skills once again fell just slightly short of acceptable. Just have to throw in an aux mod into the radio and all will be right and working.
