ne one ever try to make these?

hi,
i was planning on gettin some kick panels. and i really dont want to pay 200 buxs for them from crutchfield, is there ne where else cheaper or does ne one have the know how to make them,and could let me in on the idea. thanks

Jim, I don't think there is anyway to access that post anymore. I did a search just now. I'd done one in the past too and had the same results; nothing.

I made a set for mine and it is the best improvement I have ever heard. With a set of dash speakers for fill and the kick panels as most of my sound the stage is perfect. It scored very high in RTA. I was really dissapointed with the sound coming from the back of the car. They weren't that hard to make either.

Any recommendations on minimum clearance behind the speakers? What size speakers do you recommend (which will work best for the air space that will be available with this setup)?
