UPDATE I FIXED DELCO RADIO YOUSE HELPED ME WITH. THANKS!
Hi This came with my car and have not tested it yet. I want to buy an aftermarket “Adaptor” harness that is correct, so I can test the unit in my. 1989 IROC Z Vert.
My SPID label is long gone. The IROC’s original order form states
“1SD IROC Z CONVERTIBLE PREFERRED EQUIPMENT GROUP #3 includes”
”AM FM RADIO W/ SK & SC, CASSETTE W/ SEARCH & REPEAT , GRAPHIC EQUALIZER , DIG CLOCK, W/ EXTENDED RANGE SOUND SYSTEM”. Does this sound like the radio in the photos?
How many speakers did my car originally have? Dash and rear 1/4 panel locations? Was the rear speakers Woofers”.
What year model vehicle the radio out of?
Is it compatible with my car?
Speakers 8-10 OHM front, 4 OHM REAR?
If I remember correctly, the radio’s connector plugs into my OE harness. (My car is not readily accessible right now to double check)
Re: Please help identify DELCO AM/FM/Cassette for my 89 IROC Vert and questions.
Some of the more expert audio guys here may have more to add, but that is the radio that Firebirds used for the UX1 option from 1990-1992. The Camaro one looks extremely similar but has very slightly different buttons and coloration, this one i think
It should plug in and work exactly the same as the Camaro one as far as I know. Stock speakers were 10 Ohm front and Rear. You can Run 4 Ohm rear but if you less impedence in the front it can cause damage from what I understand, so you want to stick with 10 Ohm or wire up resistors

Yup,..... for Camaro; EQ = UX1.
The 89 Chevy UX1 radio should look exactly like the picture that @ughmas posted.
Your 89 dash harness radio plugs should be a direct match for the 90-92 Pontiac radio in your first post. ( no adapter needed. ) The Chevy radio correct for 89 will also use the same radio plugs.
10 OHM 4x6 in front & I "think" the convertible speakers were round 6", hopefully a convertible member will chime in with specifics.
Re: Please help identify DELCO AM/FM/Cassette for my 89 IROC Vert and questions.
Thank you all for your input! When I finish my fuel pump R&R, I will test the Delco on the car. I will buy some 4 OHM 5" or 6 " Woofers" for the rear, and some nice full range speakers for the dash.
I am looking forward to finishing what is basically a full restoration, on my '89 IROC Z Vert.
Re: Please help identify DELCO AM/FM/Cassette for my 89 IROC Vert and questions.
I tested the UX1 in my '89 IROC Z yesterday, Everything works, except the Right side is low volume. This on AM/FM and Cassette. Front and rear speakers are 4 OHM but I did NOT turn it up loud.
I do not expect to keep this car very long, because 6 is enough for my wife and I
Re: Please help identify DELCO AM/FM/Cassette for my 89 IROC Vert and questions.
It's almost a certainty that a few bad Capacitors on the AMP board are the problem; THE most common problem that gets reported about the Delco head units of this era is low volume from the right ( mostly rear) speaker. Most times when an AMP CHIP fails there is no speaker output and when the problem only effects the cassette it's usually a cassette problem. ( Kinda' of common for the non-EQ UM6 cassette mechanism to have a bad speaker channel,...... but the radio itself is OK. )

Thanks, John!
Normally I would want to send it to you and have it refurbished and (if possible) add and auxiliary input. (Like I had done years ago, locally*, on my 1996 Impala SS's and my 1988 Lincoln Mark VII LSC) However, since when my restoration on the IROC Z is done, it will be offered for sale, I am less inclined to do that. Because some buyers might have NO interest in 1980's Audio. ME, I like pretty much everything OE on my cars.
I might consider R&R Ing the caps myself. Would bad caps exhibit swelling and or leakage? How would I ID the AMP circuit board? If you do not mind me asking

UPDATE I REPAIRED DELCO RADIO YOUSE HELPED ID BLUETOOTH QUESTION
UPDATE Viewing a video on Youtube by " davidahiwaatnet " I soldered in 3 new Capacitors on the Amp Board. The AM/FM/CASSETTE now sounds good (considering that hte interior is out for the cars complete restoration, and the speakers are loose and incorrect for the car.
I bought a Drok 200367 Youtube module off Amazon that I am considering installing. But I will not do so unless I can figure our HOW! I am not gonna fry a nice OE unit!
