anyone every think on putting maybe 2 more 6x9's attached under their tonnue cover as though a rear deck like a normal car? would this be stupid?

Maby im not understanding, but you cant put anything under the tonnue since the top stores in there. Sorry!

that is my current setup right now actually. I did this all winter, instead of powering the 5.25's with my amp i through in an extra pair of vega 6x9's and rested them under the hatch for the convert top. they are not in a box or anything, i just rested them firmly with a couple of towels pointing the speakers to the front of the car. then have the 5.25's powered by just the head unit. this setup really does make my car a lot louder, especially with the bass end of it. but since they are not mounted in a box or anything they still do "pop" when i turn up the bass. this setup will not last too much longer as summer is approaching quickly.

I have thought about maybe rigging up the 6x9's somehow in the rear seats, close to the top. i figure no one really ever sits in the back seats anyways, and if they do i just turn down the rear channels. again this is just a thought, i wouldnt mind rigging it up, i think there is enough room if i just build a small box or mounting plate then just reapholster(sp?) the top of the seats.

i figure i would try this one of these days, of course this is just a though.
