Pioneer Subs

I recently bought a pair of Pioneer subwoofers. They are they the brand new type with the IMPP. I was just curious if any of you fellas has them in your car, and how they sounded. Thanks.

I've had 4 Pioneer 12's and 2 10's and I have yet to be happy with one of them. I'm not a huge Pioneer fan though, I think you are only buying a name. Not knock your speakers, just my personal experience.

I have bought two sets of subs from Pioneer, IMPP 10s and their last years model Premier 12s and I love both of them. Personally Pioneer is my favorite brand, expecially after hearing some other systems and finding them to be all bass, totally thumpy sounding instead of musical.

Lots of people knock Pioneer, but their head units are some of the most popular out there (at the last Cascade Crew gathering I think 5 outta 6 cars had a Pioneer head unit)

But anyway, I love mine and I have them hooked up to their smallest Pioneer Premier amp.

My friend runs 2 - 12" nickel plated pioneers and I would trade my RF's for them in a flash if they were 8 ohm. I am very impressed by the pioneer stuff although I don't like their look. One of the most impressive combos I heard was a pioneer 6" and tweet. It was extemely clear just like the impp subs. Good bang for your buck IMO.

I used Pioneer subs for two other installs besides mine (total installed = 5), and they always sound great. I'm sure there's better sounding out there, but I'm sure they're not better by much... kinda like fighting over 130db vs 135 db...
