Does anyone have mtx 6000 10" or 12" Subs? If you do, do they sound good or are they distorded.

 

MTX's don't distort at all as long as they are wired correctly as with any other sub..(well at least mine didn't) I had thunder 7000 10's and they sounded excellent! I just switched to the rear hatch and wanted to try something different or I wouldve picked up another set myself.. good luck

I'm currently using a pair of 6000 12's, and IMO they sound great. I don't have any audible distortion from mine. Mine are in a sealed enclosure, and I haven't had the opportunity to hear the 6000s in a ported box yet, so I can't offer any input there. I'm also going to be using the 6000s in my next enclosure. It will be home to 4 12s, and should be done by the end of the month. I'm anxious to hear/feel how it sounds!

 

i got some 15s i havent tried in a car yet (15 6000s) and they jumped on my carpet when i ran my dj equipment through em. was about 200watts and they handle 375 rms. i kinda wana put em in the TA and use my alpine amp on em, but i know they would over power my high end. i could tuen em down, but then why dont i use my 10? it can still overpower my highend, and its more accurate. but the 15s would go loud as hell.
