help with amp
i just hooked up my 1000 watt amp but didn't use the battery to hook it up. i went through the fuse box because there was a part of it that always was hot. well, now my amp goes into protection mode. is it caused by not going from the battery directly? if it is, how should i get from the battery to the amp in the trunk of my car the easiest, all i need to do is get to the fuse box actually. i have an 89 trans am gta. i need to know how to wire it through the firewall of the car. if anybody can help i'd appreciate it.

I also have a 89 GTA and your amp is cutting off because of it not getting the volts it needs i ran my power wire thourgh a hole that was already in the firewall just below the wiper motor.
