Good small volume sub?

I'm going to build a box of 3/4" MDF for the rear yet maintain functionality of the t-top bag without it touching the box. I took some measurements today and with the whacked out dimensions that our hatch areas have I came up with a rough number of 1.545 cu. ft. of volume INCLUDING the volume taken up by the MDF. Now supposing I don't make the box any HIGHER and that I'd like to make it for two 10's EITHER ported or sealed, what are my options for decent subs? Should I just go with a single 12"?

I'm leaning towards a sealed box since they're the easiest to make but give me some opinions please...

from there I have to figure out what kind of amp I need to power it... any suggestions on that end?

I have only a vague sense of what is good in the world of subs and amps.

Infinity perfect 10"s will work, as well as most JL Audio 10w series.. I would go for the Infinities in that small of an airspace though, thats around .75 cu ft per sub..

Look to the JL's. PPI's entry level sub is also not only a good buy, but also a decent performer too. As far as an amp goes, find a decent 300 watt amp from Kicker or MMATS and you should pound really hard.

Well, I went to our local car audio shop and the guy was reluctant to tell me much about prices for the Kickers. He likes to push MA Audio for some reason; got me onto that and said that if I don't like them, then he'll take everything back and give me what I want.

So pricing things out:
(2) 10" subs rated at 350 RMS 600 Max for $130 ea
(1) 500 watt amp, which I can flush mount and has four fans in it $400
(1) set of 4x6's rated at about 70 RMS $130
(1) amp for the 4x6's and Pioneers that I have $400

He said it would be around $1200... now with this in mind, I'll probably just go with the subs and one amp for now then do the 4x6's and second amp.

But this is the main thing, whats the word on this brand?? Has anybody had any experience at all with it?

My system right now consists of:
Pioneer DEH-P8200R
Pioneer 3-way 6x9's FREE
Kenwood ported self powered 8" tube
stock 4x6's
head unit driving the mids and tweeters
