Hey fellas!! Need help choosing junk....seriously
i know jensen and Power acustic are crappy but...
i have a choice between a 400 watt jensen and a 400 watt Power Acoustic, $60 dollars for either currently i have a 200 watt Pyramid so any of the above is a slight upgrade.

My brother in law ,who won competitions, won had a power acoustic on one of his subs while he was waiting for his to be repaired. We were impressed at what it could do....for the money of course.
There's not necessarily anything wrong with either of those brands. As they say, car audio is 30% equipment and 70% installation, anyway.
Instead of that "400 watt" rating, you should find out what the "RMS" power rating is...that is, the "honest" power. The RMS power rating should be at 1% distortion or less, preferably from 20Hz-20kHz. Also, look at the voltage the power is measured at. It might be measured at 14.4 volts...which your car's electrical system probably will never put out. a 13.8 volt or 12 volt rating is far more honest.
Once you find out the honest power, I'd also compare features, like built-in crossovers, easy to use controls, pre-amp outputs, and so on.
Usually, Jensen amps are loaded with features, and put out pretty decent power for the money, in my opinion.
