sub/amp question, please help!

i have 2 MTX thunder 8000 series 10" subs in a box. each sub is rated at 50-400W RMS, and 1000W peak.
i saw a kicker zr1000 amp ( 250W x 2 @ 4 ohms, 500W x 2 @ 2 ohms, and 1,000W bridged). is this a suitable amp for my sub setup? if not can u suggest another amp for me? thanks

I think our ZR1000 would be a little much for those. The ZR1000 will put out closer to 1200-1300 watts mono, and you know you'll want to hammer them. And when you do, it will really overpower your woofers. A ZR240 or ZR360 would be a better amp in your situation.
I do know of an XS100 Kicker amp for sale if interested.$450

yea, its Kicker, AKA a quality product, that measures their watts in RMS all the time, so thats 1000 RMS

i one time hooked up my 800.2 to a rampage 6x9 on mono and turned it up full blast, ironically, it didnt sound to bad, it was kinda hella loud, till it started smokin
