I have a box for 2 12's that sits down in the well of my trunk. I just got rid of the 2 RF Punch 12's... and moved up to the better punch subs. I got 1 RF Punch HE 12" 4-ohm sub. I ordered a hatch box for a single 12 with 1.2 cubic ft airspace. I got it yesterday... put it in my car 2 make sure it fit... and sure enuff... no fit. I turned it everyway imaginable and the trunk would come about 2 inches from shutting everytime. So I took the sub and screwed it into my old box. Problem IS... now I have a 12" hole with no sub on the right side. I WANT to have a place to put my soccer stuff like my bag... cleats... ball.. ya know just my dirty soccer stuff so I don't get it on my seats like I have been. My dad said when he gets home from offshore this time then he will help me with whatever I want done. **he's tired of me changing my sound system up** The box has a divider in it. So I'm wondering if I can just cut the right side of the box off on the otherside of the divider and recarpet the whole thing? Would this mess up the structure of the box or not? If this will mess it up my dad said he would either fill in the hole by screwing in a 1x4 under the hole... then putting a circle of 3/4 mdf wood in the hole... screw that to the 1x4 and then recarpet it so I can mount my amp on there. Sorry for this long post but I am just curious
:lala: <~~ haha i just think that guys hilarious

if the box has a divider, cutting it in half will not hurt it's structural integrity.

I'd do that rather then have that big waste of space with an amp on top.
