Looking to buy Kicker L7's, but need some help first...
My friend is looking to buy some L7 subs for his car. He wants to know if he should go with the 2ohm DVC model or the 4 ohm DVC model. What's the real difference? Do they each have their own advantages for specific applications? Does it depend on the amp he runs? Do you guys have any recommendations on what amp he should run for two 10" L7's? Thanks in advance for the help.
depends on how many he wants, and what amp he gets. Some amps make more power at lower loads, while most amps can only handle a 4ohm load.

It will come down to how stable the amp is, and what it's most effeciant power is putting out at what ohm. What amp does he have?
I work for Kicker, so let me know when he's ready to build a box for them.

This is something i wanted to find out too!!!
There are 2 ohm subs and 4 ohm subs - whats the difference - like u mentioned it depends on the amp!!!
But is an amp more strained while supplying power to a 2 ohm sub or a 4 ohm sub??? Why is this variation (2/4 ohm) provided???
The watts increase as ohms decrease - so with that simple physics lesson (which i hope im right) - why doesnt everyone get 2 ohms subs??? Or am i totally missing the point???
Thanks
