Decent system for not alot of $$$
I just want a decent sounding system for not alot of cash. Are Kenwood, pioneer, and sony products good? I am mostly wondering about 6x9's, 4x6's, 4's, and head units

I for one have had good luck with the Sony ES stuff (the xplod line). I loved my MDX-8500. The looks take a while to get used to (and the red stuff screams "steal me") but I would get the Sony over Eclipse and some alpines any day.

If you have a cd rom burner my only choice would be a Kenwood KDC-8017 head unit. 100+ mp3's on one disk with the name of the band & title of track on the display looks awesome.
As far as speakers go MTX, Orion or Kicker speakers operate much more effciently than stock speakers. Even connected only to the head unit they should produce some decent sound.
