factory CD player not working again

I bought a brand new factory cd player for my 92 camaro about 3 weeks agao. At first only the radio worked.

Somebody had put a post about 3 weeks ago on how to "unlock" the LOC II stereo system. I did that and it worked fine the next day. It worked fine until last Saturday when it would try to read the cd for about 10 seconds and then go into the stereo mode. This was the same problem I had when I first bought it.

I need to have the procedure to unlock the system and see if the cd starts playing the cd's again. I know that the unlocking the unit is to engage both the radio and cd player, even though my radio works fine now.

The procdure went like press buttons 1 and 4 with the set button push and then do some other items. I just cannot find the post.

Also does anybody who has a factory cd player have this problem where it works fine for about 2 or 3 weeks and then stops playing cd's???

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Manny
