What gauge wire for 4x6s?
What gauge wire for 4x6s?
I got 4x6s but the wires that came with it are too short. Should I add wire to the ones it came with or make a new hookup to go all the way from the speaker to the radio to avoid 2 splices in each wire? What gauge? 16?

If I were you I wouldn't butt/splice two lengths of wire together, I would just run a new wire the right length. You could run into problems down the road and the fewer connections the better. 16 gague wire should be fine, the gague only determines how much resistance is in the wire, and therefore how much power is lost through the wire. Besides any stereo shop you have a good relationship with would probably give that gague of spkr. wire for free. I know I do to my customers.
