Lost My Bass, Why?
On Wednesday night I disconnected my subs, and unplugged my amp, and stored them inside for the night and next day, cause my car was going to be at the muffler shop while I was at work, and I wanted everything thievable out while I didn't have supervision over the car. So I put everything back in on Thursday, and came to find that the subs weren't working at all. So I turned the gain up almost all the way on the amp, and found that I wasn't getting any low signal. I get the high frequencies fine, but I'm not getting any bass frequencies at all. I found this by switching my amp filter through high pass, low pass, and off settings. When I disconnected everything on Wed., I found that my powercell had come loose and fallen out, but that didn't seem to affect anything when it happened, so I don't think it's a factor. Also, right after I got the amp, half the adjuster screw for the X-over setting broke off, and I couldn't get it out of the amp, so now it's just floating around inside of there. Maybe that's an issue. I unplugged the RCA cables, and tried them the opposite way and that didn't do anything except delete one of the channels when either just the left or right cable was disconnected, as should be. The speaker wires are connected to the proper terminals on the subs, and from what I can see, everything else is fine. So I have no clue what it could be. Any ideas? I know how to set the system up, but troubleshooting it is another story.
