ROBBED AGAIN :-(

Woke up early this morning after comming home at 2am last night to find my car broken into again. i'm averaging holding onto 1 system a year so far. they punched out my lock in the hatch and took my box, 2 15's amp, capacitor, not to mention the key to my wheel locks and about 50 cd's. i think i'm gonna get rid of the camaro and just get an explorer or something like that. just fed up with it. alwasy worrying to begin with like for this to happen, and it happens anyway. it figures my alarm just like died on my last week so that really helped. it happed no more than 40 ft from me. right in front of the house, and not to be able to do anything about it or hear it. at least they didn't get my radio cause i had the face plate off it. i'm just tired of it. now i have to worry about my rims getting stolen next. it all makes me sick.

I Know how you feel, some stupid ****s cut up my t-tops, pulled out my passenger side window, and stole my cd player and cds. First one went in january, this one went in july. I just bought a factory cd player(a 97), and I like it. But it's no pioneer. If this one gets stolen, I'm going hunting . Sorry man.

Agreed. Its usually the guy u least expect. Its sick but people will do anything for money or to save money now-a-day. I've never had an audio system stolen, but I've had my engine stolen. $6000 worth of engine parts robbed from my shop by somone I trusted. He planned it so he moved somwhere else in the country and stole my engine and some other guys stuff too that he knew. PIssed me off, and some other people. I knew him for 8 years as a good friend too. If I ever see him again Im goina kill him slowly. He also knew my alarm was out on my shop, and had the key for the front locks ( i trusted the bastard ) then once inside he used an O2 / Acedel Torch to cut into other people shops from inside mine and steal stuff.

Did you have the subs concealed? Do you play them loudly in your neighborhood? Sometimes those are real big factors in keeping your stuff safe.

i appriciate it guys. i just noticed to that they tried to pry my t-tops off first and failed at that. now my power locks don't work, anyone know why? no wires are touching in the back. do you think it has something to do with the lock they punched in at the hatch. they also took my light bulb out of my roof too. i'm praying they find prints on all the stuff the police took with them.

Check your local pawnshops and see if anyone has pawned stereo equipment since this happened.

You just might get lucky.

Having the hatch lock punched in shouldn't affect your power door locks. Does it look like they made an attempt at either of the doors other than the t-tops?

if they messed with your light most likely the fuse is blown and thats why the power locks don't work along with the mirrors and lighter,

I've had my system in for just a few months now. I really hope it doesn't get ripped off when I go to college. Anyone have any suggestions to keep me from getting jacked? I haven't told anyone that I have one. you can't see my sub through the glass.. or with the trunk open for that matter. You can't even really hear it outside the car. I make a point not to play loud when others can hear it..

arm those cars with something!!! even something to keep the amature crackhead junkies out. I should know, having just recovered my '84 trans am from united towing in N.E. washington d.c. !! first my car got stolen, and of course the $1200 in stereo equipment, although the thieves probably just looted valubles and went for a harmless joy ride (because they couldn't come close to beating the car having it for only a day!) I'm positive that the monkey jerk at UNITED towing on 1221 kimmle av. in D.C. ,took my front wheel, carburator, ran the engine with the coolant fill cap removed and temp sensor disconnected, took the dash board, and rumaged through the car stealing petty things that even the most cracked out crackhead on the street wouldn't bother with. I know the car had wheels on it when it was towed in (I had a flatbed driver with me when I picked it up so he pointed out the "nose in" position and I noticed the seatbelt around the wheel, but no charge for a missing wheel....hmmmm. and how would the Q-jet gasket stay square on top of the intake if it had been towed through the city??? I'm more angry with UNITED TOWING because they messed up my car on purpose thinking I would leave it there. the jerk even told me that the other guy has a camaro that he could use the parts on. that's ok united towing, I've got your number! you guys like to mess with good third gens? those torched cars in the impound gave me good ideas.....he he chough..napalm...ahhamm..cough just wait till I find his camaro!! anyways...I know how all yall feel!! kill switch, alarm, club, homemade electronic disable methods.....and stay out of the d.c. ghettos!! I hate all unemployed crackhead thieves, they should all get aids and die.

Well you know the bastard wants your wheels. He's planning on coming back, so 1-set up a video camera in the evenings, or 2-run a wire from a wall socket directly to your locknut. Make it look like a block heater cord-when he tries the key, you've got BBQ'd thief.

Camaro 22, that is simply terrible... These days people have no respect for anyone else. The thing that concerns me is you're in the Pittsburgh area, as I am. I live in a fairly rural section (outside of Monroeville), and I'm practically paranoid of people doing stuff to my car (I am forced to park it outside). Did the robberies associated with your car happen in a rural area or near the city? All I need is for some idiot to ruin all of my hard work. Again, I'm really sorry to hear about your situation

go to sounddomain.com and look in the message boards under security. They've got tons of old posts and stuff on how to protect your stuff.

I'm 17, living at home, I'm afaraid to live outside my parents neighborhood.. I could leave my trunk open, windows down, keys in the ignition and have nothing to worry about. (not that i would ever do that, it's always armed) but I have, on accident, left my keys in my car. When It's time for me to move out I'm going to do all kinds of things to my car to make it very hard to break in to.

I suggest you all research ways to prevent this, peace,

All i have to say is remember those commercials for the alarm when they try to break in the get the tazzer wires up their *** ? Thats the alarm you need... that or set up a camera like someone else said, or sit in the garage with a baseball bat and a video camera, video tape them breaking in, then go out and use the baseball bat, theres ur security system.

Actually, a place around here sells a product similar to "The Club" that is part club, part Tazer. Try to touch it, and you get zapped. I forget how powerful it is, but it's supposed to knock a full grown male to the ground.

That's cool but not legal in Los Angeles. I find that I really don't have to worry about it while at work. Working at a shooting range really helps especially parking in the employee zone right in front of the door. No body messes with out ****. A friend of mine has had his system jacked and I basically told him to stop bumpin' it so loud in Compton then parkin down the street. Don't let thugish lookin guys know what you have and they worn't even think about ripping ya off.
