Suggestions on sub box

Suggestions on sub box
Anyone have suggestions on how to make a box for 2 12's. I would give my left nut for one of the box's Jim85IROC makes but they are slightly out of my price range.My friend said he would help me make one since the places around me want to either make a glass box(big $) or a sub plate(don't want one). So my friend and I are going to build one. 
So if anyone has any suggestions, measurements or anything that might help I would appreciate it.
