subs in the sailpanel..
subs in the sailpanel..
I was thinking of putting 8" subs on the side where the 6x9's are, custom build a box for them. But i have 2 10" mtx 6000 subs siting in the trunk facing the glass. Well, my question is would the 8" subs cancel some of the sound that the 10's make??
Best would be to have them play different frequencies, like run the 8's down to 45 hz, and let the 10's play 45 and below.

What would work is build a sealed box for the sail pannels sell your current subs and buy a set of the square kicker 8's. They hit as hard as 12's. I was totaly amazed when my buddy put some of these 8's in his truck. I could have swore they were 12's.

Subs in the sail panel will not be as loud as subs in the hatch. As I said in another post: "When you put a sub in the middle of the car, some of the sound travels to you while some also travels to the back. When the sound that travels back reflects and comes back to you, it's phase is usually shifted to a certain degree depending on frequency/placement, possibly causing cancelation, and therefore it doesn't sound as loud. When all the subs are in the back, all the sound originates in the back, and reaches the listener at the same time, without a major phase-shifting reflection."
