Adding a sub to a stock stereo in a 2000 S10
I just bought an extended cab 2000 S10. I think the stock stereo sounds fine, but I would like a little more bass. I want something small that sounds decent, without having to spend an arm and a leg. Any suggestions?

it can be done easily. i will give you MY recomendations. sinse you only want a little more bass i would recomend an 8 or a 10" sub. this way you can have a very small enclosure and save some space. as for brands i would recommend....well to keep it sounding good and keep it inexpensive i wouls say get a image dynamics idq 10" and maybe like a rockford fosgate 100.2 amp. i just sold one and it put out 226x1 at 2 ohms, which is plenty to power the sub. if you go to www.carmedia1.com , you will get the best prices. and you could check ebay. but carmedia is about the same price as ebay, minus the hassle, and you get warranties too. the setup should run you about hmmmm, 250-300 bucks. as for the speaker lines out, you can by an in line converter. it just taps into your speaker wires and converts the soignal to a rca hookup for low end amps. can get for like 10 bucks at ANY best buy, etc. for a box either build one yourself ro go to www.speakerhole.com . they have very good prices on boxes. that will give you nice bass, and crystal clear at that
