Want some pics so I can get some ideas for the custom install im hoping to start and finish myself.

Im hoping to start my custom install of my "The System":

Deck: Kenwood Excelon KDC-X911
Kenwood Excelon KDC-CX83 - 10 disc changer
Kenwood KGC-9044 Digital EQ

Amps: Kenwood Excelon KAC-X401M - 1200watts
Kenwood Excelon KAC-X501F - 600watts

Speakers: Kenwood KFC-6908 6x9's 4-ways
Kenwood Excelon KFC-XR60P 6.5"

Sub: RF Punch HX2 300watts RMS per voice coil

Should I have to run a capacitor with this system?

Will I be able to run this off stock 91 Z28 alternator?

Any other problems anyone may think I could run into please post.

Also I plan on running at least 4-gauge power and ground. Any known *** like RCA's?

yes, put in 1 1.0 farad lightning cap, put it inline with your power wire no less than 1-2 feet from the amp, thats what i would say...

also, i would recommend a box setup such as Leirch's(sub in the middle of hatch), and you might want to upgrade your alternator, that would be one of those things that you would have to see what power levels you draw once u get the system installed...

 

i had the same amps in my car and klayburn is right on the money, get a cap!

don't get a cap unless your lights dim with the bass. You will not hear a difference between a system with a cap, and a system without.

hey 87IrocZ did you make that box custom? Also if you didnt where did you buy it also are those 12's or 10's i would like a box just like yours to hold two 10s. Thanks in advance.

 

my box was about .65 or so cu ft each.

Actually its just a plate. And yeah i know people say plates suck and are worthless. But ive had people who do professional installs tell me that my car sounds great. After hearing it people cant believe that i dont have a box. The plate though is a VERY tight fit. And the subs are 12" Ultimate Competition's. The best part about my setup is that i can still put the t-tops in the factory location.

 

lol, well, my cap is 1 farad, i have a 1200 watt system tho, and it doesn't do ****...
i need to go with a hi output alternator
....
