As the subject says..... Im looking for some new subs. I have 4 soundstream SLP 10's now.

I want to swap to 3 12's. with great SQ. but also a nice deep pumch.

Im thinking audioban alum 12's or the new xtant hex's....any other choices?

jl audio 12w3's or 12w6's ... w6's have better sound quality but both slam.

There are hundreds of subs out there with a reputation for sound quality. They all sound different. Bring some favorite cds and listen for yourself before you make any decisions based on what any of us have to say.

or the xtant hex's

I'm thinking of gettin' a pair of 12" Audiobahn Alum's powered by the same amp! I heard them in a showroom and I loved the deep, clear punch they have. I asked the guy what amp they were using to power it and he said the Memphis Belle. I don't need 1100 watts ...and don't have the money due to a 350 and $5 a gallon in gas becouse of these attacks, (scary stuff, huh?) ,so I'm going with the ST-500.

if you have w6s, why do you want to change them? No offense, but I would bet money you see much more of a difference (assuming the JLs were in the optimum box) if you spent the money upgrading your front stage, sound deadening your car, or maybe buying an EQ or preamp to mess around with. Changing from one high quality sub to another might not make that big of a difference if they are both in the optimal boxes anyway.

Yea, the L7's do have great SQ in sealed enclosures and get really loud in vented enclosures.

I can't belive no one is going to rip this guy a new one!

Rockford subs are not known for their accuracy, though their newer high-end stuff is very very good.

I've been using JL subs since day one and I've never found a price/quality combo to match. The aluma pro woofers are very good, but I've always held the opinon that a lighter cone is best, aluminium is light but not light enough. (for me)

Like everyone else said, just listen.

i had an SPL 12 in mycar and i loved it..but it looks like you ant to get away from Soundstream.

A friend of mine had Infinity Kappa Perfect 10s. (they aluminum ones) He LOVED them. i have to admit..they POUNDED in his little S10.
