Im seems overpriced IMO.

Jim has boxes cheaper for these cars specifically, that hold 2 tens or 2 twelves, and they seem to look better in the trunk than that goofy thing (just my opinion). But the way that thing curls down is odd.

Heres the website to check out Jims if you want it...

The way Jims boxes are designed, the one thats low and flush should enable you to flex that panel out enough to get to the spare. THe crutchfield box looks plastic for some reason to me.

The box looks plastic cause its a top plate molded to look nice, theres and mdf box that sits in the well and that plate goes on top.

Yep they are quite cheap boxes and have only 1cu.ft volume per side if I remember right but yet it takes up the whole backend of the car. I wouldn't waste my money.

I've got an 89 'vert and I can tell you the box shown in crutchfield won't fit. If you find something that will, I'm interested.

Wow! $300 for a box?

I have a 91 "vert" (convertible) and I've decided to go with the infinity Basslink that WILL fit in the trunk of the car. I'm hopefully getting it by this weekend, it's in the shipping process right now. I paid $199 on Ebay for it and I'll post my results of what I think of it after I install it.

Currently I have a 12" fosgate stuffed in a custom box that fills up the entire lower portion of the trunk. I will say it does boom, but it takes up too much room. Hopefully the 10" passive radiator basslink will provide the boom without the space.

Look for a post in the future about the basslink and my results.

keep us updated. I was thinking the same thing, but now that I don't have a job, it is on hold for a while. Your results will interest me very much.

I guess since I bought a basslink, I can answer my own question :P

The sound is very tight and crisp. It won't rattle the neigbors windows, but give a good bass sound to add to the 4x6's up front (the only other speakers you can really here).

I good set of compenents would make this sweeter, but a paint job is next on my list.

I still have trunk space and some good bass, so I'm happy.
