door speakers......

Hello...I am looking to put a set of door speakers in my 86 Z28...problem is that I have window cranks and speakers would interfere with that and vice versa...anyone know any solutions to this? I would like to put 6 1/2 rounds in there and I know they will fit if it wasn't for the darn window cranks....thanks.

How about trying a set of DJSexay's kick panels.

It's easier to install door speakers with manual cranks than it is with power windows. There's room in the lower front corner of the door. I had a pair of 6.5" Kicker Resolution mids in there with somewhat large grills over them. I did have a bit of a clearance issue with my kick panels, so I heated them with a heat gun, closed the door until they cooled, and repeated a couple times. Problem solved.

But, my kick panels sound worlds better than the door setup did.
