Mounting Kits

I have a 1.5 din Pioneer deck and I was wondering if you still need a mounting kit of some sort so it's not just sitting there unattached to anything. I looked at it and realized if I tried to install the deck,it would just be sitting in there loose. How would I secure it so it's not easily stolen or moved around if mounting kit's aren't made for them. Or even if they are made, do I have to buy one or are ther alternatives to a mounting kit. Thanks

In the mounting kits for our cars there is 2 small L-bracket things that you screw onto the side of the radio and then screw into the spot where the factory screwed into.
