help with 6x9's?

Ok I bought some 6x9's that are 600 watts each and have a 70 ounce magnet. I originally had them in an oldsmobile and they sounded great, I sold the olds, took the speakers and deck with me, put the speakers and deck in my camaro since the original ones were almost dead, and they now have a totally differnt sound than when they were in the olds. I tried putting the 6x9's in the stock location but the magnet was to big even with that insulation removed and the panel tightend up it would hit against the skin of the car. SO I went and bought some 6x9 sealed boxed and all the sudden it seems like the 6x9's ahve no bass they have a lot of punch, but no bass at all, should I put a port on the boxes? right now Im just running them with a 200 watt MTX amp off of a sony x-plode deck. Any help would be great as I liek to have some bass in my music.

are they out of phase? like simple things you overlook will amaze you. are the + and - hooked up correctly. Is the bass on your radio turned up, are they high passed, ya know. The factory speaker slot is really small for 6x9's, so i had to get a nice set of slim polks....

everything is fine on em... I have noticed they they start distorting early now to. I know I didnt blow em and a sony deck isnt exactly the loudest thing on the earth. they jsut loss their bass? Could it be because of the sealed box? should I get different boxes? what about a differnt amp? How much did those polks cost and do you liek em?

The polk i have were 199.99. They are the dx9 models. As for what your asking about the amp in all, i cant tell what is going on to give you help. Try borrowing a amp or something and see if that helps. Trial and error my friend.
