Two caps seems like a bit much to me, but I could be wrong. I'd test it out with one cap first and see if that's adequate.
If you're really worried about losing power during bass hits (usually the most power draining), then you could hook it up in line with the JBL alone. Your four channel will probably be alright. But if you set it up before the distribution block, you could use it store power for both.

A single 1 farad cap should suffice for that setup. Generaly a 1 farad will handle up to 1000W I mean the more the merrier but the more the money also applies. I would cap the JBL for sure but the Clarion i would not worry about. I have used a 400.4 driving speakers and it never needed a cap. Cause you never really use it to its full extent. However i had a 500a2 and it would make the headlights dance to the music when a sub was wired to it. That amp would really pull the juice on any hard bass beat.

General theory is 1f for every 1000 watts. I'd place it within a few inches of the bass amp's power supply. It should come with a charging resistor. Hook the resistor in series with the power wire to charge it. Once it has been charged, put the resistor away in a safe place.
