Round or Oval Full Range Speakers?

Im currently looking at different speakers, especially from Polk Audio and Kicker. What would sound better:Round(6-1/2", 5-1/4") or Oval(4x6,6x9)? I listen to hard rock, classic rock, and metal.

Thanks.

6 1/2" would be the best.

I assume the 6.5s would go where the 6x9s are. How would i got about fitting them there, and what about the up front speakers?

Round speakers usually sound better than oval ones, but they do not have as much bass due to the smaller cone area. I would go with 6.5" in the back and if I'm not mistaken 5.25" will fit in the dash as long as it is not too deep.

As far as installing them... a plate can be made for the back ones and I'm not sure about the front ones. If you want to go with seperates, I have a 5.25" component set in the front with the woofer below the dash with some duct tape (yea the universal solvent) under the magnet. The tweeter is above the dash and the wire runs through the grill for a real clean install.
