Box design for a single 15" sub?
Box design for a single 15" sub?
Ok i can't figure out what to do for a box. I don't want the sub offset to one side and i don't think i have the room for 2 15"s. I have almost everything installed but can't figure out how to build this?
The first thing you need to do is find out how many cubic feet the sub you want (have?) needs. If you get the right kind of 15" there is room for two but it all depends on the sub. If you don't want it offset you can always not make the box very deep. Just find a tape measure and use the volume formula and start building.

There is room for two back there, you just have to set the lid (top) of the box above the well and the box will narrrow with the shape of the well. Have you bought the subs yet? What are they? How much cu.ft. is needed?

Its a Rockford Fosgate HE2. I can get a second one for half price if i bring back my bill saying i bought one already. I forget what the box volume is but i think its like 1.5-3 cu.ft. If i get a 2nd one though i would have to get a bigger amp. I was planning on just one 360.2 usually pumping close to 500w rms good for one HE2 but too and i have to get a bigger amp.

Those rockfords like a fairly large, ported enclosure. Better trade your car in for an SUV.
You can get away with a modest sized sealed box, but they don't reach their potential.
And yeah, you need a bigger amp.
A bd1000 on each one of those puppies would be nice.
