A grounding thought
Hi all,
Just wondering why if you are already connecting a big 8 AWG wire to your positive battery terminal for your amp then why not run a 8 awg ground from the amp's ground to the car battery negative terminal??? Is there something I'm overlooking?

with ground, you want to run the shortest length of cable possible. if not, you have the possiblity of getting noise/hiss/etc. 12+ doesnt matter
